Khuli Nkala
A memorial bench is being placed at the workplace of popular mental health nurse Khuli Nkala to mark one year since his death with Covid-19.
Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust will also be honouring Mr Nkala’s memory with a minute’s silence this Saturday at 10am.
Mr Nkala, a charge nurse in the forensic services team at the Newsam Centre in Leeds, died from Covid-19 on 17 April 2020 at age 46.
The Zimbabwean national was a mentor to student nurses and was also an active member of the trust’s workforce race equality network.
