LANSDALEÂ â The 2021-22 budget for the North Penn School District is one step away from being official.
The school board voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve a preliminary $290 million budget with a 2.85 percent tax increase. We did make a number of changes in the two weeks since we did present the last draft, and that resulted in a net change of reducing the deficit by about $800,000, said district CFO Steve Skrocki.

Last February, we had a $956,000 fund balance, and this February we are at a loss of $720,000, said district Extended School Care Coordinator Marjorie Scott.
