Masks could be delaying development among babies
Babies could be delayed in speech and emotional development due to adults wearing masks around them.
NEW YORK - Becoming a parent is life-changing. With it comes so much joy but at the same time challenges, especially during a pandemic.
It has been a roller coaster, says Daniele Erichsen a first-time mom.
Erichsen gave birth to her daughter Peyton in November 2020. Her baby has not seen many faces.
In fact, the only people she has seen without a mask have been her mommy and daddy.
Between trying to keep her safe and the people that we allow around her and them having to wear mask, it honestly is upsetting that she can’t look at their faces. She doesn’t even know what her grandparents really look like, said Erichsen.

BENDIGO Art Gallery is known nationally for its exhibitions of fashions, and “Piinpi” is another wonderful show of Australian indigenous fashion, showing at the National Museum of Australia.
The word “Piinpi” is lyrical in form and meaning. It captures and describes “a sacred connection between people, place and land”. Of course, it is far more than that – it is the land talking to the local people who inhabit it, the cultural knowledge that guides much of their lives.
This is a celebratory exhibition. It is exuberant, joyous, and colourful. It honours many older women, and I was particularly impressed by the fact that Peggy Griffiths is modelling “Legacy Dress”, to which several artists have contributed. Travelling to the UK
Maltese citizens, just like all EU citizens, can visit the UK with a national ID card up until October 2021. After that, passports will be accepted for a total visiting period of six months.
Those who wish to live and work in the UK will now have their applications processed via a new points-based system.
The Maltese may have a slight advantage here.
