A judge granted Martin Phipps, a prominent San Antonio lawyer and businessman, a temporary protective order Thursday against T.J. Mayes, his former law partner, escalating a high-profile feud that began in January.
Phipps, 51, alleged Mayes threatened him and his children during a monthslong “scorched-earth media campaign against me, my family, my business partners, my employees and several other local public officials in San Antonio.”
