Marlborough’s Silly String law once again made the news when Chronicle, a WCVB-TV news magazine, traveled to the city to conduct research on unusual town and city regulations and ordinances across the state of Massachusetts.
Marlborough Mayor Arthur Vigeant addressed the Chronicle cameras in front of the Marlborough City Hall and explained that Silly String became a nuisance during one of the city’s annual Labor Day parades.
“It’s my understanding that there were brand new cruisers that were purchased by the city and some kids hit them with Silly String and damaged the new paint,” said Vigeant.
