A SCULPTURE celebrating the famous Minster Cat of York has finally been shown to the world in a star-studded ceremony. With a short family tribute to Gerald and glorious bell ringing from City of York Town Crier and Minster FM breakfast show presenter Ben Fry, a small number of passers-by stopped to enjoy the historical moment. It has been months in the making with sculptor Anthony Bartyla, founder of The Raven And The Hare Stone Carving, using the same stone used for York Minster - the place Gerald called his own.
