Acton Academy Del Mar launched its first Children’s Business Fair with a fun flurry of activity and commerce on April 7 at La Colonia Park in Solana Beach.
April has become an embarrassing holiday hog, snagging a long list of spring festivals, events, and celebrations that highlight fertility and rebirth, rejuvenation, freedom, the national pastime, pranks and humor, funky foods, the health of our planet, and literary pursuits.
We have an embarrassment of holiday riches all converging in the shortest month of the year: Black History Month, Chinese Lunar New Year (Wood Dragon), Presidents’ Day, Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day, Super Bowl Sunday, Mardi Gras, and a slew of quirky food holidays.
