While many businesses have cited Covid as the main cause for the closure, some businesses have closed for other reasons. But it s not all doom and gloom, here are some of the businesses set up during lockdown. Pizza Hut, Cleveleys Pizza Hut, Cleveleys - It was announced in September 2020 that the Jubilee Park restaurant on North Promenade in Cleveleys would not reopen due to the financial impact of the Covid pandemic.

However industry experts believe that there could be a resurgence in the pub industry when Covid restrictions are lifted, with many hospitality firms eyeing up opportunities to snap up other businesses at a lower price.  Anand is also a non-executive director at supermarket giant Morrisons and was chairman of the Casual Dining Company before it collapsed into administration under the pressure of the pandemic last year.
