Criminal charges upgraded in Castlegar stabbing attack

by Castlegar Source on Tuesday Apr 06 2021 Criminal charges in relation to a double stabbing back in February 2021 have been upgraded following a review of the police investigative findings carried out by the BC Prosecution Service, according to Castlegar RCMP NCOIC Sgt. Monty Taylor. Twenty-nine-year-old Sasha Margaret Prokaski is presently facing the following five criminal charges which include two counts of attempt to commit murder, two counts of uttering threats and one count of break and enter, he said in a release Tuesday afternoon, Prokaski’s next court appearance is scheduled by video for Wednesday April 7, 2021 in Castlegar. Stabbing suspect to be held in custody pending Mar 17 court appearance

A local woman made her first court appearance Feb. 23, after the alleged home invasion/dual stabbing of two teens in a Castlegar home Sunday.
