As you can see the addition so heres the front of the building. The additions added to the rear. This is the existing. This is the side yard and the adjacent buildings. As can you see there is quite a bit of a yard here. Can you tell when the building was built, the Solar Building i think they did it because they needed a certain amount of sun and they anticipated an expansion and if they got too close there would be more impact. Here is the addition. It doesnt change the bulk of the building as you move back. It holds the easement line and could be higher and a better house with higher ceilings but rather than go in for more than that is needed we decided through amanda to go in with what is reasonable and proceed and try to prevail that way. During this time she has donated 20 hours per month mentoring the two foster youth and spent considerable personal energy advocating on their behalf with teachers, foster parents and social workers and attorneys and four years shes doing that without interruption. Its clear because of her continuing commitment amanda is one of the most important, dependable and reliable person in these youths lives. I am making the point to illustrate as you can imagine one of amandas passions and one of the biggest problems we face in San Francisco and finding housing for foster youth transitioning out of the system. A number of years ago amanda came up and personally financed flying a group of 20 disadvantaged San Francisco youth and their guardians down to disneyland for a two day vacation. She did this event with her own funds. The trip was also done with no fanfare and no public recognition of any kind as far as i know. The trip was also a fantastic success and a once in a lifetime opportunity for these children.
