Some schools have even made the decision to transition certain grades to temporary remote learning if exposed to an individual with coronavirus symptoms. On Jan. 27, Deckerville Community Schools notified parents of two school associated COVID-19 cases in a student or staff member. According to announcement, cleaning and disinfecting of the exposed locations has been completed. The school s COVID-19 dashboard, located on its website, has been updated regularly and remains the ideal location for Deckerville community members to seek school related virus news.

Cass City Promise helps Red Hawks soar higher Paige Withey, paige.withey@hearstnp.com FacebookTwitterEmail (Paige Withey/Tribune File Photo) CASS CITY Through generous donations and support from community members, Cass City alumni, and local businesses, organizations, and foundations, the Cass City Promise is on track to initiate its first phase next year, setting current and future Cass City students up for success with student savings accounts with help from Thumb Bank and Trust and the Sanilac Community Foundation. Research has shown that students with just $500 or less saved for furthering their education are three times more likely to continue their post-secondary education and four times more likely to graduate from a university or trade school.
