Meet at the end of Ash Canyon Road before the final road to the water towers. We will carpool up to the trailhead. Water and closed-toed shoes required. Hats, sunscreen and walking sticks recommended.
The 7-mile trail connecting Ash and Kings canyons in the hills east of Carson City will officially open this weekend with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday. “It’s very exciting,” said Jeff Potter, a board member of Muscle Powered. “It’s a chance for us to say thank you in a public setting to all the partnerships that were involved.”
Come join Muscle Powered for a free guided group walk, hike, or ride to enjoy Nevada outdoors around Carson City! Muscle Powered is a local non-profit organization that promotes walking, hiking, biking and trail building. A schedule of all upcoming activities and events can be found at www.musclepowered.org/calendar.
And just like that, it’s almost the weekend. Karaoke at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar takes over their patio- a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail and sing a little song. Enjoy live music, a good drink and yummy food at Living the Good Life.
