Southwest Airlines adds South Carolina, Oregon and Washington getaways to its destination map

Southwest Airlines is adding three new destinations on the East Coast and the West Coast, making plans to fly to Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Eugene, Ore.; and Bellingham, Wash., later this year.
Dallas-based Southwest has now added 17 destinations since the pandemic began as it tries to divert from its former strategy of fewer destinations and value airports to capture new passengers to ease the financial pain of the pandemic.
