Burgie s builds stand-alone coffee shop in Somerset
Ames Tribune
The Burgason family has had an impact on the coffee consumption of Ames residents for nearly three decades, and in a few months Burgie’s Coffee & Tea Company will have an additional location when it opens its new coffee shop in the Somerset neighborhood.
Grading started this week on the lot at 3619 Stange Road, in the space east of the Fareway Store. Completion of the coffee shop is expected in the spring or summer.
Although the Burgasons have been in the coffee business in Ames since the 1990s, this is the first stand-alone location coffee shop without a gas station or a connection to another business.
