WASHINGTON Don t forget to join NPMA and other industry professionals March 16-17, for the first-ever NPMA Virtual Legislative Day. Attendees will trumpeting the positive effect the pest control industry has on public health and pushing back against arbitrary pesticide regulations. Your voice as a constituent is what amplifies the work NPMA staff does year-round. Attending Legislative Day will give you an opportunity to hear the issues, talk with your state and federal representatives, and make a difference.
This year s Legislative Day issues include: 1) education about the industry and our connection to public health, 2) priorities in future COVID packages as well as reminding policymakers that we are an essential industry, and 3) educating members on the problematic provisions of the PACTPA (Neguse/Udall) Bill from last Congress which is expected to be re-introduced.
On March 2, 2021, the PWIPM of New England awarded the second annual Women of Excellence Award to Courtney Carace, ACE of Pest-End Inc. in Plaistow, N.H.
Carace has worked for Pest-End since 2004 and has held various positions during this time, including office administration, technical, management, and executive positions. She obtained her National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association certification in 2010 and was a bed bug canine handler for several years for the company.
Carace is also a licensed and certified pest control operator in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. More recently, she earned her Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) certification. She was recognized as having the highest score of the day for the ACE Exam.
