Dave & Buster’s will live on despite Epic Games moving its headquarters to the Cary Towne Center. This shopping center, which Dave & Buster’s is attached to, has been closed as construction is underway to transform the building into the gaming company’s HQ.
In a Facebook Post shared on January 30, 2021, Dave & Buster’s let patrons and fans know to “keep calm because we’re here to stay.” The post goes into detail about the fate of the popular arcade and eatery stating that, “We will have a new home later in the year on the Epic Campus right across from where the old mall food court was located.”

The mall will officially close its doors on Sunday. Dave & Buster s is the lone business that will stay open.

Earlier this month, Epic Games announced plans to acquire the 980,000 square foot and 87-acre property and turn it into its new headquarters by 2024. Epic, the maker of Fortnite, reached the deal with Turnbridge Equities and Denali Properties.

Epic Games, best known for developing the hit game “Fortnite,” is buying a mall in North Carolina with plans to convert it into a new headquarters.
The company has agreed to buy the 980,000-square-foot Cary Towne Center for $95 million, according to the Wall Street Journal. The mall is located in Cary, where the company is currently based.
Epic Games plans to open its new headquarters in 2024. It will be about four times as large as the company’s current headquarters.
The seller is Turnbridge Equities and Denali Properties, which purchased the property in January 2019, with plans to redevelop it into a mixed-use space with residential, office, retail, and hotel square footage.
