Investigation after spate of burglaries at churches on Anglesey

CHURCHES on Anglesey have been targeted by burglars. The latest incident is believed to have occurred sometime between January 10 and 18 at St Mary’s Church in Tal y Llyn, Ty Croes whereby damage was caused and cash was taken from a recently installed donations box. Similar incidents have occurred at the location sometime between 20 and October 22 and during the first lockdown in May 2020. A church at Llanbeulan was also targeted sometime during May 2020 whereby the donation box was smashed and cash was taken. PCSO Carwyn Gilford from the local policing team said: “Both churches are owned by Friends of Friendless Churches based in London and are kept open to the public, so we are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed unusual behaviour around both locations to contact us.
