The Hopkinsville Industrial Foundation recently announced the groundbreaking for its new speculative building on March 3. The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council partnered with the Hopkinsville Industrial Foundation to announce the groundbreaking.
The speculative building will be built at the industrial foundationâs pad-ready site on Frank Yost Lane in Commerce Park I.
The building will be over 100,000 square feet and will be designed for manufacturing, distribution, logistics and other industrial needs.
âWith the regionâs proven success in automotive, agriculture, aerospace, distribution and advanced manufacturing, the building is designed with 38ft ceiling heights, 12 dock bays and world class office space to suit any future tenantâs needs,â The SWK EDC announced in a news release.

The Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1920, edition of The Cobb County Times reported that the Marietta Womanâs Club planned to have a Community Christmas Tree in Glover Park on Marietta Square the Thursday before Christmas. The Club also asked for contributions of one pound of fruits or confectionaries to help brighten the home of the less fortunate on Christmas morning.

The Friday, Dec. 17, 1920, edition of The Marietta Journal reported that in response to a U.S. revenue officerâs telegram the Tuesday before, Marietta Policeman Goodson and Deputy Sheriff Sanders met the Louisville & Nashville train from Blue Ridge and arrested Carter Hendrix, who was carrying two and a half gallons of whiskey in his suitcase.
