Two were arrested following a shooting that happened late Saturday night where two people were taken by air ambulance to the hospital, according to the Carson City Sheriff s Office.
A 13-year-old juvenile was arrested Monday and faces a charge of battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm after allegedly shooting his 4-year-old brother in the head with a bb gun, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said.
Traffic was slow going in Carson City along Highway 50 East following two crashes Tuesday, according to Nevada State Police. There was a crash reported at around 3:50 p.m. on US-50 East and Nye Lane. There was a second crash at 5:18 p.m. reportedly near US-50 and Brown Street. Injuries are unknown at this time. Motorists can expect delays.
UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong tells Carson Now that the man found shot in the head on Cortez Street appears to be a self-inflicted wound. It is unknown if the man is alive or not. The sheriff said the man "took a .357 shot to the temple" in what appears to be a suicide.
