The next Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting will take place Thursday May 7 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Sierra Room of the Community Center located at 851 E. William Street.
The Carson City Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to become a Bee City USA. This completed the efforts of the Great Basin Beekeepers of Nevada and Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space to accomplish this certification.
Both Nevada State Senate and Nevada Assembly in Carson City will open Friday with Hindu mantras containing verses from world’s oldest existing scripture. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed of Reno will deliver the invocations from ancient Sanskrit scriptures before both state legislative houses.

Now that the new Carson City Center/Nugget Project plans have answered many of the concerns of critics, one of the last big issues is the 1/8th cent increase in the sales tax to help fund the project. But that may also be going away, replaced by fees collected from those dumping trash at the Carson City Landfill.
