The Carroll County Fair is going on the week of July 13th through Sunday, July 18th. Thursday at 7 pm is the little Miss & Mister contest followed by the Queen Contest. Bring your kids to the carnival on Friday! Catch the demolition derby at 7 pm on Friday and stay for live music by Jason Pritchett. On Saturday at 11 am is the parade followed by an entire day of fun and end the night with Figure 8 races at 6 pm. After that there will be karaoke! Fair season is fast approaching, and Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach is already beginning to release results and schedules for presenters. On Thursday, July 15, three teams will showcase their communication presentations at the Carroll County Fair before taking their exhibits to the Iowa State Fair in August. Four local 4-H’ers will also be displaying their table setting skills with original designs and themes. Table setting is not featured at the Iowa State Fair, but the selected entries will be heading to the regional table setting competition in Cass County on Aug. 7. The initial judging for these events was held Tuesday, June 22 at the United Methodist Church in Carroll. A complete list of the competitors and their entries is included below. The Carroll County Fair is scheduled for July 13 through July 18.
