Norwalk Community College Foundation Receives $100,000 Grant Written by Norwalk Community College Foundation
Recognizing the need to help students cope with the continuing challenges and emergencies brought on by the worsening COVID-19 pandemic, a local philanthropic foundation has awarded a special $100,000 grant to support Norwalk Community College Foundation’s student emergency fund. Since March, the NCC Foundation has used emergency funds to provide rapid assistance for students coping with the ongoing effects of the pandemic and to keep students on track with their education at Norwalk Community College.
“We are making this grant to help support student success,” the president of the foundation said. “We are particularly interested in making sure that students have enough food to eat during the Christmas season and during the winter intersession, as well as addressing other immediate critical needs such as money for rent, utilities, childcare and transporta
