Rhonda Sue Evans, age 71, of Flora, Illinois, passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on April 29, 2023. She was born on January 11, 1952, in Xenia, to Robert and Modena Green. Rhonda was united in marriage to James R. Evans on January 18, 1969, in Flora, and together they shared 54 years of love and memories. Rhonda was a dedicated employee of Hella Electronics for thirty-seven years. She retired in 2017. Rhonda was a very caring and kind person to everyone she encountered. She had a very special gift for decorating her home and creating a safe space for her family. Rhonda was the heart of her family. She was the safe place for anyone that was lucky to have received a spot in her heart. She approached life with integrity and the desire to do her very best. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and being creative, in particular sewing and embroidery, spending time with her family, and spoiling her two rescue cats, Pepper and Lewis.
