There s been a happy ending to the tale of a dog that had been missing from her home in Dundalk for seven months.
Mabel - a white and brown beagle, escaped her lead in September
just days after being adopted by a local couple.
There had been many sightings of her between the Carrick Road and Knockbridge, but attempts to catch her and bring her to safety had failed - until yesterday.
In a post on Facebook,
Dogs Aid announced that a woman who had been patiently feeding Mabel, had gained her trust and was able to put a lead and collar on her.
