Threat of High Court over Mohill street plans

Threat of High Court over Mohill street plans Reporter:   ); A councillor has warned Leitrim County Council that the modified plans for Mohill Public Realm, ratified at the Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal meeting last month, “could end up in the High Court.” Independent Councillor Des Guckian brought forward a motion this week “that the illegal and wrong procedure” at the December 14 meeting on the Public Realm works in Mohill, be revisited and “all relevant facts be revealed about the true extent of this scheme and that we be given an undertaking as to whether, or not, it conforms to all planning laws, both national and European.”

No update on taking Drumsna housing estate in charge

No update on taking Drumsna housing estate in charge Reporter:   ); There is no update from Leitrim County Council on moving to take the housing estate Oak Meadows in Drumsna in public charge. Fianna Fáil Cllr Sean McGowan asked for an update on the status of Oak Meadows Housing Estate at the December meeting of Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District. The council said they have not had a request to take the estate in charge. Whilst the council executive remains amenable to taking this estate in charge, this is dependent on the street lights being made operational by the developer or money lodged with the council to resolve issues around the estate.
