Interior Ministry: Legal basis exists for restricting EU tourist visas

As the EU has failed to reach an agreement to restrict the entry of Russian citizens, eastern countries may choose to act separately and ban the entry of Russian citizens with Schengen visas issued by other countries. The legal basis for doing so exists in Estonia, however it would be better off adopting a joint decision together with other neighboring countries.

Lawmakers, police chiefs and experts in Estonia have been addressing the issue of May 9, marked in Russia as Victory Day in World War Two, which ended nearly eight decades ago, but down to the present marked by some of Estonia's Russian-speaking minority by processions, gatherings and wreath-laying.

Lawyer: Restrictions and vaccination requirements have to be prortionate

Lawyer Carri Ginter said on ETV's current affairs show "Esimene stuudio" that demanding vaccination from the workplace must be justified sufficiently by the employer, and only allowed when there are no alternatives. The coronavirus restrictions established on companies should be proportionate, he added.
