The Open Space and Recreation Master Plan, completed in 2019, includes everything from new curbing, edging and shrubbery at Brooks Park to working with local and state officials to connect favorite community walking and biking paths; linking Torbert and MacDonald parks with Station Landing in Wellington Circle. “There’s 20 projects the city is working on that we started after COVID-19 hit,” said Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, explaining there is something in the plan for everyone. “Our goal is to keep our parks and open spaces up to date so that every child in Medford, no matter where they live, has access to recreational opportunities.”
