A safer place. We know that you are more likely to be hit if you are a child, if you are a senior, if you are lowincome. This is an important Public Safety issue for everyone and we also know that this is an equity issue. And i think there are three things that our office will be looking at along with several of my colleagues here on the board who i know will be speaking after me about what we can do. Number one, we must look at fully investing and funding the pedestrian strategy. This is not just an issue policy. This is an issue of life and death and critical injuries here in the city that are absolutely preventable. There are so many ways to go in the city, but this is the one that is 100 avoidable and 100 preventable. And often made by reckless driving that could have been prevented just by yielding to pedestrians in the crosswalk or turning carefully when making right or left turns.
