Good Morning: May is Better Hearing Month.
Journal Standard
As some of you know, when I retired from the newspaper full time I went to work for Advanced Hearing and the audiologist who worked there. Never in my life did I think I would enjoy a job so much. I only worked part-time so everything fit into my schedule.
I had sent my dad, my husband and numerous others to Advanced Hearing and felt that was the type of place that I wanted to spend a few hours each week. I loved working with the audiologists who were employed there at the time and who helped folks. They did not just sell hearing aids as so many of the businesses do, but did the right thing and provided solutions. That is where I met Dr. Carolyn Awender, who now owns that business which is called Awender Audiology. She has been helping folks now for more than 28 years.
