Police had gone up and down the basement stairs several times while searching a home in New York for any trace of 6-year-old Paislee Shultis, who had been missing for more than two years. Roughly an hour and a half into the search, one detective took a closer look at the staircase. He couldn t put his finger on it, but there was something about the staircase that bothered him, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said.
