The fire started around 3 14 here in the 3400 block of el camino. It went big and fast. We could see in the darkness of the night dark, black smoke. It was an active fire as we rolled up this morning. Again, firefighters are making quick work of it. They are pouring patriots on to this building which appears to be to be a total loss the roof caved in on more than one location. Lots of smoke in the area. Because this is el camino real, we have spoken to folks that said they will not take the bus, they have been waiting, calming for folks to come and pick them up from the area. But that is not going to happen. We will track that largely this morning. M
If you go to the righthand side, will you see the corner unit there because the fire did pred spo that apex there of the l. So the fire has now pred to that lshaped middle part of the building. You will see firefight errors on top of the buildings on the other side of the l. They are venting the rooftops there, so the fire has no place else to go attacking the fire with hoses from the ground. Certainly you see that dousing the ladders are pouring on back of that this morning. This is one main building. Luckily the fire did not injure anybody at this point it appears, if fire captain or chief says firefighters arrived at 3 00, they made sure nobody was inside the building. They did defensive firefighting. Then they stepped outside and tried to take on that firefight. We got the crews in officially to look at the scene of the fire and possibly of rescue. Police say hemming has a record of armed robbery, burglary, felony cocaine, vehicle theft, destruction of property, and now two counts each of attempted first and seconddegree murder. The latest charges stem from an incident last week when hemming allegedly tried to kill two Montgomery County detectives with a homemade pistol. They were attempted to arrest the uber driver on a warrant at the time. Uber of course, require all applicants to submit to background check. How did he clip through the cracks .
