For Rial, 17, it was the best kind of dilemma. She had just earned significant praise from several coaches on “The Voice,” including Legend and Jonas, who gave her a standing ovation for her performance.
Rial, a junior at St. Dominic Academy in Jersey City who lives in Ridgefield, sang Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” at her “blind” audition on the NBC talent competition series Tuesday night. She put her own spin on the popular 2014 song with a series of flourishes.
