Pacifica Radio: Letâs talk about the debt
April 17, 2021

In early June, listener subscribers and staff of the Pacifica Radio Networkâs five nonprofit metropolitan stations, KPFA-Berkeley, KPFK-Los Angeles, KPFT-Houston, WBAI-New York City, and WPFW-Washington D.C., will receive ballots to vote on yet another new set of bylaws that would largely do away with its democratic governance structure. The first attempt to do this was resoundingly defeated at the end of March one year ago. This time ballots will go out during the first week of June, and most subscribers and staff will choose to vote online. The network also includes 200 smaller affiliate stations, whose staff and listener subscribers will not be included in this election, but who have two representatives on the Pacifica National Board.Â

CLINTON – T&G Santa is heading to town with truckloads of Christmas gifts for thousands of Central Massachusetts girls and boys in need.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak financial havoc on struggling families, more and more are forced to seek sustenance from nonprofit agencies and support services.
With this comes a greater need to provide a little Christmas magic to children in difficult circumstances and for this, the newspaper’s 82-year T&G Santa tradition continues.
Helping Santa meet this year’s goal of providing toys and books to 7,000 local children are the many Central Mass. businesses, foundations, organizations and readers, who donate to the annual fund.
