Like all great ideas, Carol Spencer’s Barbie designs will live forever. From 1963 to 1998, the alumnus fashioned some of the doll’s most famous outfits, including the best-selling Barbie doll “Totally Hair” Barbie.
As the design process evolved over time, Spencer adapted accordingly. While modern designers utilize computer technology, Spencer's team worked with 3D models of dolls instead of drawings.
