At War (2018) as well as several articles by various scholars such as Antulio Echevarria, Richard Kohn, and Carol Reardon. Students will also read digital resources from the House Divided Project and special website projects from other Dickinson students. Students in this course will study the historical evolution of American military strategy, soldier experience, and civil-military culture, culminating in an end-of-semester online project that analyzes a major battle in full historical context.
