After getting the worst news possible before Christmas, the local community is uniting to make this year extra special for Laura Reilly and her two young sons Ben (12) and Dylan (9).
The 39-year-old mum has just been told the cancer she beat on two previous occasions has returned, but she says her family, friends, neighbours and the kindness of strangers is helping her focus on the positives.
Drogheda Dolls founder Natalie Kelly has arranged a GoFundMe page to help ease the financial burden of the family, and a small number of local choir Voices of the Boyne made a surprise appearance at her front door last Wednesday night to bring some festive cheer.
