Lawrence Township gets lower fire insurance rating
The Repository
Tuesday meeting
KEY ACTION: Heard that the township’s Insurance Services Office (ISO) fire score has been lowered from a “5” to a “4.”
DISCUSSION: The score is calculated to determine how well-equipped a community’s fire department is to put out fires. A lower fire score could mean lower homeowner insurance rates for township residents.
OTHER ACTION:
Heard that Christmas trees will be picked up curbside from Dec. 26 to Jan. 28. Only undecorated live trees will be collected by the Road Department.
Heard that fire and emergency medical calls will be handled by the westside fire station beginning Jan. 1.
