Oklahoma District Attorneys Speak At Public Forum On Tribal Jurisdiction Ruling

By: Amy Avery TULSA, Oklahoma - Many Oklahoma district attorneys held a forum Tuesday night to help victims and families navigate the criminal justice system. Several victims and family members of victims came to get questions answered, because many of their cases have been moved over to federal court because of the Supreme Court ruling on tribal jurisdiction.  However, a lot of their questions went unanswered because protesters were interrupting the district attorneys who were trying to answer them. The path forward is working together, not shouting at each other, said Governor’s Special Counsel Member Ryan Leonard. Several Green Country district attorneys in counties that lie in tribal jurisdiction say they re doing the best they can. They say they re working with tribal leaders in their area, but feel like more needs to be done so they can protect everyone in their county.

Ex-Attorney, Boyfriend Charged In Okmulgee County Triple Homicide

Credit File photo OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A former Oklahoma City attorney and her boyfriend have been charged with killing an ex-girlfriend and her parents in 2019. Keegan Kelley Harroz and Barry Titus II were each charged Thursday with three counts of first-degree murder and a related first-degree burglary count in the shooting deaths of Tiffany Eichor and her parents, Jack and Kaye Chandler. Harroz and Titus were suspects early in the homicide investigation because of Titus’ past relationship with Eichor, who alleged that Titus beat and strangled her while they were dating in 2017. Federal prosecutors revealed last year that DNA found on a ball cap recovered near the crime scene and a comparison of shell casings tied Harroz and Titus to the killings.
