Fond memories of Ulverston Victoria High School worker Dave Wearing, who was a technician in the design and technology department, have been shared since he passed away. He had a 30-year career which saw him inspire, guide, and teach a generation of pupils in his community. Dave passed away on February 18 at the age of 64. He was a well-known figure in the community who also helped guide students through their Duke of Edinburgh award programme.

YOUNGSTOWN Terri L. Skiffey, 59, died at 10:58 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at St Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
She was born June 10, 1961, in Warren, the daughter of Anthony J. and Carmala LaPolla Skiffey.
Terri loved going to school at Fairhaven Workshop at a young age and also working at Purple Cat Workshop in Boardman as she got older.
She will be deeply missed by three sisters, Shirley Satterthwaite of Niles, Carol Frost and her husband Larry of Lordstown, and Chris Callow and her husband Lane of Denver, Colo.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Skiffey.
Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Social distancing measures will be enforced and wearing of masks is mandatory.
