While we look forward to spending time over Christmas within our bubbles, we also need to remember that not all visitors are genuine.
Bogus callers are an all too common problem, and their preferred course of action is to pose as NI Water staff seeking to gain entry to check the water supply in the customer’s property, or causing a distraction while an accomplice breaks in.
Once they have gained entry they will distract the customer and try to steal valuables lying around the home.
At this time of year, Christmas presents may be easily visible and are an attraction to thieves.
