Local creek cleanup planned next weekend March 16 2021
Rotary-led event will take place on Saturday, March 27 with participants meeting at Pioneer Park at noon
Shortly after spring begins and people begin thinking about spending more time outdoors in the community, Rotarians are inviting people to help clean Ochoco Creek.
The local Rotary club is hosting the creek clean-up event next Saturday, March 27. People can sign up online at the SOLV website. The event will begin at noon at Pioneer Park, when participants can gather before heading out to pick up trash and other discarded items along the creek bed and in the water.
Looking forward to Parks and Rec events
Community clean up and fishing derby are on the event docket for this coming spring
Winter tends to feel like it will never end. The rain, snow, clouds, cold: It can get rather depressing. My sister recently told me that she has finally figured out that she is solar-powered! When the sun is out and hot, the batteries stay charged up, and when it s not, well everything is just harder. I totally relate to this. The cold weather definitely keeps me indoors more, and I really have to try harder to work up the mental energy to get much done.
