Carmen Atiyah de Baets hosted an intimate alfresco dinner at her Amsterdam guesthouse and store to introduce a new collection inspired by her mother’s homeland.
The family of a man, who recently became a father to a baby girl, says he and a good friend were both shot multiple times after a fight at a home in Pontiac on Thursday.
Sidney “Sid” Shields, age 76, of Brownwood, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Abilene surrounded by his family. Graveside services for Sid will be held on Monday, 2:00 PM, December 28, 2020 at Salt Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
Sid was born on Friday, October 13, 1944 in Clifton TX, to Herschel, and Corene (Cantrell) Shields. He graduated from high-school in Coleman TX, then attended college at Tarleton State University. He married Janice VanPelt on Saturday, August 21, 1965. They were happily married until her passing in 2010. Sid loved to read, and make walking canes for members of his family and friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
