Bill introduced to sponsor health care degrees for Guam students

Students from Guam, who want to pursue a career in the healthcare field, may soon be able to get sponsorships from GovGuam and private businesses.
Vice Speaker Tina Muña Barnes introduced a bill on Wednesday to facilitate the Professional Student Exchange Program. The program is hosted by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education and allows students access to 130 programs at 60 stateside universities. Ten health fields are included for students to pursue a degree in, ranging from medicine and dentistry to veterinary medicine.
Yigo Contract Postal Unit reopens July 6

Yigo residents will soon be able to once again check their mail in their village.
The U.S. Postal Service announced the Yigo Contract Postal Unit at 244 Gayinero Drive will reopen for business July 6.
Dededo and Yigo s post offices, which were operated by a private vendor, were closed in mid-April due to an ongoing investigation, Postal Inspector Brian Shaughnessy said.
The facility will resume its P.O. box and retail services from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, a news release stated.
