It d sure be nice if the current Ohio House speaker would, you know, speak up about removing disgraced Republican lawmaker Larry Householder from office. Better yet, Bob Cupp could show some leadership and a sense of urgency on the matter.
But the Lima Republican hems and haws, drags his feet and occasionally tells reporters he s taking the temperature of his caucus members on whether to expel Householder nearly 8 months after his arrest on public corruption charges.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no end in sight to Householder s time in the statehouse. Cupp doesn t have the votes to oust Householder, the alleged ringleader of a $60 million bribery scheme.
