Body, vehicle recovered after being swept away by flood water on Boyd Drive Mike Smith, Carlsbad Current-Argus

The body of a person believed to have been swept away by flood waters at the intersection of Boyd Drive and Monterrey Street on Tuesday was recovered.
Carlsbad Fire Chief Richard Lopez said New Mexico State Police divers were able to undertake the recovery as flood waters receded around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The name of the deceased was not released to the media.
Lopez said flood waters in the area were still moving swiftly, but rescuers wanted to complete the task.
