A year ago tonight amtrak 188 flew off the frankford curve and neighbors recalled the all hands on deck efforts by residents and first responders. I have never witnessed anything like that before and i hope i never do. Serious train accidents are rare and this one was bad. The locomotive was traveling price the speed of the posted limit of 50.
