Claudia Karvan said playing Angie appealed to her because of Oly s big dreams for her future. The hurricane that she experiences vicariously through her daughter is just as conflicting as the upending it does to her own life, which is also in a state of flux, Claudia said of the role, via Stan. The writer behind the record-breaking new Australian comedy-drama series Bump came up with the idea because she was sick of stupid stereotypes about mums on television.
Stan recently announced that Bump, which stars Nathalie Morris as a high-achieving teenager Oly who shockingly gives birth without knowing she was even pregnant and Claudia Karvan as her mother, Angie, will be renewed for a second season after breaking the platform s all-time viewing record.
After just 10 episodes Bump looks set to become an Aussie classic, following in the footsteps of generation-defining series like Heartbreak High, The Secret Life of Us and Offspring.

The 10-part original series centres around Oly (played by Nathalie Morris), an ambitious and high-achieving teenage girl who suddenly finds herself in labour despite being completely unaware she d fallen pregnant.
The drama series stars Claudia Karvan who leads as Oly s mother and also acts as a producer of the series. Angus Sampson (Fargo) also appears in the charming series as well as up-and-coming stars, Nathalie Morris and Carlos Sanson Jnr who plays her baby daddy, Santiago.
