(WBRC) - Law enforcement is looking for help solving open cases, like the murders of toddler Major Turner and the Patton Park murder of Aryelle Yarbrough. Today, three new billboards were unveiled with a tipline, urging people who have information about crimes in the city to call it in. The billboards were gifted to the Carlos Chaverst Foundation, a local activist who says he wants to help solve murders nationwide.

(WBRC) - New calls from the community to end the violence impacting Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating what they believe was a targeted deadly shooting in Fairfield Tuesday night. Dozens of markers count the shell casings at Homer E. Hayes Soccer Complex. One man, 24 year-old DeAngelo Poole, was shot and killed. Four others are recovering from gunshot injuries. “No more vigils. No more balloons,” said Jefferson County Sheriff Mark Pettway, “We’ve got to learn how to live together and love each other and put the guns down.”

Patton Park on Easter Sunday that claimed the life of a 32-year-old bystander and hospitalized five others including a 5-year-old.
