Roger Federer took to social media announcing his return to the court for this year’s French Open in May. Last seen in the Qatar Open back in March, the Swiss tennis legend continues his comeback after undergoing two knee operations.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion made his long-awaited return after 14 months in the Qatar Open, beating Dan Evans, but fell short to Nikoloz Basilashvili in the following round. Facing an operation on his right knee and further setbacks caused him to sit out for months after the loss against Novak Djokovic in the 2020 Australian Open.
Federer announced on Twitter, that he will be taking part at the ATP 250 tournament in Gevena from May 16 to 22, followed by Roland Garros on May 30. The finals are to pan out on June 13.
