Brighton and Everton played out a scoreless draw this evening.
Neither side were able to find a winner and a goalless draw edged Brighton seven points clear of the relegation zone, while Everton’s winless run extended to five matches in all competitions.
Neal Maupay and Yves Bissouma – with a spectacular overhead kick – go close for Brighton but no breakthrough at half-time.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was a surprise absentee in Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton side at Brighton.
The England striker was not included in the matchday squad, while midfielder Andre Gomes was sidelined with a thigh injury. Ben Godfrey and Gylfi Sigurdsson came into the side from the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.

Reported Everton target Rui Silva would be better off staying in Spain than making a summer move to the Premier League, former coach Manuel Machado has told El Desmarque of the Granada goalkeeper.
At this stage, it’s no secret the in-form goalkeeper will be on his way out of the Nuevo Los Carmenes in the summer transfer window.
Where he ends up next, however, is anyone’s guess.

Domingos Duarte admits he will be disappointed to see Granada team-mate and reported Everton target Rui Silva leave the Europa League quarter-finalists in the summer transfer window, via Sports Finding.
A bonafide penalty-saving specialist, the Portuguese ace has kept out a grand total of five spot-kicks in 2020/21 alone.
Silva, however, may feel that it should have been six.
The former Nacional ace got both hands to Bruno Fernandes’ effort in latter Thursday’s defeat to Manchester United, but failed to stop his fellow Portugal international from celebrating yet another goal.
Tuchel wants £85m former Man Utd target to replace Chelsea struggler

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has reportedly added Andrea Belotti to his list of possible replacements for Timo Werner this summer.
Werner arrived at Chelsea in a big-money move from RB Leipzig last summer. However, he has not been able to replicate the form he showed in Germany. He has just five Premier League goals to his name so far and the last of those came over a month ago.
Werner’s struggles extended onto the international stage during the recent break as well. He missed a big chance for Germany in their shock 2-1 loss to North Macedonia.
